Yes, failed CEOs getting bonuses is all the news. But that’s just a diversionary tactic of the collectivists and statists. What’s the relative importance of a few hundred million for a handful of execs compared to the trillions the politicians and their supporters are stealing by force from American citizens via inflation and direct spending? The politicians don’t want the average person to recognize the Ponzi scheme that is Social “Security” that makes Madoff a piker. They don’t want us to think about the billions their friends got in banking and other industries that rely on pull rather than production. They don’t want us to realize that the government is $70+ trillion in debt and that this promises to ruin our economy even more. They don’t want individuals to point out that production comes before consumption, that Keynes is wrong, that one cannot spend one’s way out of poverty, that they are taking over the health care system as they take over the financial system, that they will ruin more lives than any individual CEO ever could.
